I can't promise that my entries will be exciting. I tend to be a little boring as of late. I can promise that you will receive a fair dose of sarcasm laced with a bit of humor. I will inevitably bitch about my day or fly off on random tangents as I see fit. If any of this sounds appealing t

Anyone who reads this will probably know what has been going on in my life but let me give you a quick update. I live in Kansas City with my wonderful boyfriend and gimpy little dog named Fezzik. We think that Fezzik is a chihuahua/min pin mix but we're not entirely sure. He is a pain in the ass sometimes but has turned into a wonderful companion. During the day I am the bursar at the lovely Wright Career College. I'm quite convinced that "bursar" is a fancy word for "check book balancer" or "supply orderer". I am in charge of inventory and all of that fun stuff that comes with working behind the scenes in education. I'm not going to lie and say that I enjoy my job because I don't but it is a paycheck and my student loan payments are approaching quickly. Life in Kansas City has been great thus far. I enjoy our apartment complex and there is a bed bath and beyond just down the street which makes everything better. Overall, things are going well.
Christmas was very nice. We spent it with my family and had a lovely time. We made every effort to "win" Christmas and I am pretty sure we accomplished this goal. I'm tempted to start planning for next year now just so we can be sure to keep our title as "Christmas Champions". Yes, I made that up but it has a really nice ring to it...and I am a dork :)
I'm currently looking at my Christmas decorations and a part of me is wishing that they could stay up all year. I know that's silly but there is something very calming about Christmas lights and the obnoxious saxophone playing reindeer that was re-gifted to us from my niece. I guess it will be nice to have things back to normal once all of my Christmas stuff is put away. Our living room has been a bit cramped with the 7 foot tree. Fezzik also enjoys eating the plastic pine needles so I'm sure his digestive system will appreciate it when the tree has vacated our apartment.
I'm looking forward to spending the new year with the love of my life and my dorky dog child and, I believe, that is all I have for tonight. It is, afterall, 8:40 pm and an old woman like me needs her rest. Good night all
